NEW YORK COMPLIANCE:
It does not, by itself, make your firearm New York Compliant. For N.Y. compliance you must either epoxy over the screw once the CompMag is installed or use another N.Y. locking device. For information on New York Compliance please read "Is the CompMag N.Y. Safe act compliant" at AR-15 CompMag Information.
In New York, often times a mag lock is installed on the firearm, which disables the mag release. The mag can be squeezed by the mag lock device if it is installed too tightly, and will result in the rounds or the follower not moving through the mag properly causing misfeeds. Always check the mag function before using epoxy on the maglock
Compatible ammunition: 7.62X51 / .308 / 6.5 Creedmoor
Compatible with standard AR-10 type lowers.
NOT compatible with lowers that have a custom or extended magazine well.
NOT compatible with LMT MWS.
READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS:
When tightening your AR-15 CompMag into the magazine well, be careful not to over tighten it. If it is tightened too much this will cause the rounds to rub inside the magazine and can cause misfeeds. If this happens, simply loosen the screw a bit, relieving the pressure.
Before using, please read the instructions and watch the videos found in the recent posts section on our home page, entitled "Loading and Unloading your CompMag. Clearing Double Feeds.". This will help you better understand how the CompMag operates.
As we, and our Attorneys, understand it, this product falls within the laws as written. At this point it has not been endorsed or approved by any law enforcement agency or regulatory body within the United States, due to their reluctance to endorse any compliance products. Once contacted, the D.O.J. told us that they would not endorse any compliance products and that we should seek the advice of a qualified firearms attorney.
We then had our firearms attorneys research the topic of California compliance thoroughly and their professional opinion is that the CompMag would be deemed a fixed magazine in accordance with California Law. Letters from them can be found on our home page under "Recent Posts".
Even though we have had our Firearms Attorneys approve this product as a fixed magazine according to California law, your situation may be different. For example, putting a CompMag on a banned AR-15/AR-10 or a short barreled rifle (SBR) will not make it compliant. Know your local/state laws and regulations prior to purchasing this product. If you are unsure whether or not you have an assault weapon, please contact a firearms attorney.

Product functions perfectly! Best way I have found so far to keep my AR10’s legal in a shitty state, run by tyrants! Thank you!
I have purchased Compmags for all my AR-15 and recently purchased one for my AR-10. There awesome.
Yet another awesome item. All my weapons have compmags and they are top quality, super east to install, and get the job done.
Compmag works well, I am using mine with 6.5 creedmoor , I used a Cross Armory mag lock to lock mine in lower. I needed to sand and file the front and back of the mag to get it to fit my PA-10 lower. It is a little bit hard to lock the knob down at times because of the heavier spring tension needed. The knob maybe could be a little bit larger on the AR-10 compmag. I have the compmag for my AK-47 and that one is just right. Last the AR-10 mag is long, would of liked it better if it only held 3 or 4 rounds and was a little shorter for the bench.
great customer support , the original mag didn't fit my lmt 308 ( i broke it ), but contacted support for mag exchange and new one fits really well would highly recommend
I have the ar 15 compmag and just got the ar10 compmag.,it was a little tight fit so I emailed Compmag friday night and Saturday morning the owner David responded back! This company is top notch! David stands behind his products and Knew what my issue was and asked if I wanted a modified one or refund or exchange. I stayed the course and he sent me another compmag that fits and functions flawlless. Folks truth is we should support companies like Davids because he and all the people at compmag make a difference here in california . David I commend you for superb customer service and products!
Magazine goes on my Springfield Saint Victor 308. Had one issue, great customer service to quickly resolve the issue. Fitment is great. Install or uninstall takes less than a minute. Great option to have a CA compliant fixed magazine rifle and quickly convert back to normal when out of state
Great product! Well built! Great addition for anyone running a pinned mag. Customer service is also spot on! You won't regret making the change if you're one of those that have a pinned mag.
Love Comp Mag. Can keep my AR’s they way they were intended with all features.
This AR10/SR25 CompMag finally allows me to have my large frame AR without being encumbered by fin-grips, fixed stock, or takedown pin gobbledygook.
Couldn't be happier with this product. Brilliant design. Thank you!
